Veljko Paunovic was delighted with his team’s all-round display in Saturday’s win over Sheffield Wednesday.

A first half penalty from Michael Olise set the Royals on their way, before second half goals from Lucas Joao and Andy Yiadom sealed a third-straight win for Reading.

It was also the third consecutive clean sheet for the resurgent Royals.

Speaking on the win, Paunovic said: “We started very well and controlled the game.

“Our re-press was very good and we had a good run into the box by Puscas which led to the penalty and red card.

“It was very good execution from Michael Olise.

“I am very happy we broke the bad luck on that we have had recently with penalties.

“From that moment, we kept playing our football.

“It wasn't easy to play against 10 men and who knew how to sit back and defend and did a good job.

“We defended our half very well and that helped us build our momentum in the second half.

“Once we found a way through, we executed well for the second and third goals.

“And we got another clean sheet too which is important for us."
