Here are our player ratings from Reading's crucial 1-0 win against Blackburn Rovers.

Rafael - 7

Alert to the danger as he held the majority of shots he faced. Nearly punished by Nyambe after parrying a shot but aside from that, a good performance and another clean sheet.

Andy Yiadom - 7

Did the hard graft well all evening and provided a good outlet on the overlap especially in the first-half. Put in a stunning cross which was almost converted by Puscas early on.

Liam Moore - 8

Led by example at the heart of the defence and kept his side calm under considerable pressure in the air. Was imperious in the air and threw his body in harms way to make some key blocks.

Michael Morrison - 6

Performed well up until his enforced substitution and similar to Liam Moore, made sure he put everything on the line to get in the way of the ball.

Omar Richards - 8

A constant threat on the left-hand side as he got into dangerous areas close to the Rovers box. Defended really well and tracked his runners to ensure they didn't have any easy yards.

Josh Laurent - 7

Gave away a few cheap fouls but covered the ground superby and hassled the opposition at every opportunity.

Alfa Semedo - 6

Put himself about throughout the game and covered the back-line well. A little sloppy on the ball and in the tackle at times.

Michael Olise - 6

Wasted a few opportunities to deliver from set-piece situations but always looked to carry the ball forward and be positive in possession.

Ovie Ejaria - 8

Didn't stop running all game and worked hard to maintain and retain the ball. Ate up some important seconds late on and was alert to his surroundings all game.

George Puscas - 9

A tireless display from the match-winner who scored the all-important goal on his return to the team. Also a;most scored a spectacular goal from the halway line and came close with a header. Held the ball up brilliantly and brought. his teammates into play. Kept going until the final whistle.

Lucas Joao - 5

Set up the goal with a selfless assist but faded as the game developed and cut a frustrated figure at times especially in the second half.

SUBS

Tom Holmes - 6

Slotted into the defence seamlessly after Morrisons's sub and looked confident on the ball and in the challenge.

Tom McIntyre - 6

Added an extra layer of protection in midfield late on and had a good cameo in an unfavoured role.

Tomas Esteves - 5

Came on for the final ten minutes and helped the defensive effort.
