Here are our player ratings from Reading's crucial 1-0 win away at lowly Rotherham.

Rafael - 7

Only had one shot on target to deal with, but commanded his area really well amid considerable aerial pressure and made some key punches and claims.

Andy Yiadom - 7

Produced an efficent and energetic display on the right and looked to push forward and provide attacking options. Defended well and didn't allow his man much room to manouever.

Liam Moore - 8

Led by example at the heart of the defence with a solid showing, coping well with the Millers physical approach. Won his fair share in the air and looked to keep things calm late on at the back.

Michael Morrison - 7

His goal proved to be the match-winner after he reacted quickest to his own initial effort to score. Beaten a few times in the air and gave Ladapo especially some space to work in but a good afternoon's work nevertheless.

Omar Richards - 7

Looked really bright going forward in the first 45 especiall and produced a gem of a cross which was converted by Morrison. Found himself slightly more pegged back in the second half but defended competently.

Andy Rinomhota - 7

In a slightly unorthodox wide role Rinomhota had a good game, doing plenty of work in both final thirds. Was a constant nuisance, not allowing Rotherham time to build from deep and forcing them to play direct.

Josh Laurent - 7

Covered an awful lot of ground as he provided cover in front of the defence.

Ovie Ejaria - 8

Arguably Reading's brightest spark going forward. Tricky and clever with his dribbling to fashion various opportunities.

Michael Olise - 7

Showed skill and class on the ball and cut the defence apart on several occassions with a beautiful range of passing.

Alfa Semedo - 5

Battled well to win the ball back but struggled to create much on the bal.

Lucas Joao - 5

Spurned a couple of massive chances that would've made the afternoon a lot more comfortable for Reading, but carried on getting into good areas and providing a good outlet.

SUBS

Tom McIntyre - 6

Shored up the defence late on and made a couple of key challenges to hold onto the clean sheet.

Tomas Esteves - 5

Came on late on to see out the win.

Tom Holmes didn't feature for long enough for a fair rating.
