Here are our player ratings from Reading's 0-0 draw away at Stoke City.

Rafael - 6

Made a good save to deny Brown in the closing stages. Alert to the odd bit of danger in an otherwise quiet afternoon.

Omar Richards - 4

Had a tricky afternoon up against Collins who got the better of him on several occasions. Didn't add much in an offensive capacity.

Tom McIntyre  - 6

Positionally very good as he was in a good spot more often than not to snuff out the danger. Battled well and limited the chances for the hosts.

Michael Morrison - 7

Another good showing from the stand-in skipper. Imperious in the air and battled well for every ball. Good distribution.

Tom Holmes - 7

Made several vital interceptions and clearances. Didn't do much to support the attack, but defensively very solid.

Andy Rinomhota - 5

Showed tenacity in abundance to strangle the creativity of Stoke in the middle of the pitch. Needed to move the ball a bit quicker, however.

Josh Laurent - 6

Harried the Stoke midfield with numerous recoveries. Shielded the defence effectively and didn't allow the Potters to run through the middle.

Ovie Ejaria - 6

Improved as the game went on and produced a few impressive runs. Came close through a shot from the edge of the box. Nearly set up Meite late on with a sumptuous cross.

John Swift - 5

Keen to get on the ball and make things happen without much to show for it.

Michael Olise - 3
Quiet for the majority of the game. Outmuscled and outsmarted by a well-drilled Stoke defence.

Lucas Joao - 4

Similar to the Preston draw. Appeared frustrated at the lack of service but needed to do more to force the issue and try to make something happen.

SUBS

Yakou Meite - 7

Added some impetus and purpose to the Royals attack with a direct approach to his game. Got into some promising positions in the box as well and nearly got on the end of a good Ejaria cross right at the end.

Sone Aluko - N/A

Didn't feature for long enough for a fair rating.
