Royals manager Veljko Paunovic labelled his team's win over AFC Bournemouth as the 'perfect performance'.

Three first-half goals from Josh Laurent, Tom McIntyre and Lucas Joao saw the Royals race into a three-goal lead before a determined defensive display ensured the Royals picked up all three points.

Speaking after the game, Paunovic said: "It was the perfect performance. I’m so happy for every single guy that played a part.

"It was amazing preparation from the staff and our medical department.

"I'm very happy for our fans, I believe they enjoyed it and I believe this was the best performance - especially the first half - so far.

"We executed the game plan with perfection and enthusiasm and enormous energy.

“We have worked so much and our approach was to work towards our goals and prepare the team to have performances like this.
