Here are our player ratings from Reading's sensational 3-1 win over AFC Bournemouth at the Madejski.

Rafael - 8

Had to be alert and showed incredible reflexes to keep out several efforts at goal. Controlled his area and claimed a lot of aerial balls into the box.

Tom Holmes - 8

Looked bright in the first half pushing forward and defended very well in the second half as Bournemouth pressed. Didn't let anything past him without a real fight.

Michael Morrison - 9
An imperious display from the captain on the night. Threw himself in harms way all night as he gave everything to see out the win. Led by example with some brilliant challenges. Kept the defence calm as Bournemouth pressed forward.

Tom McIntyre - 9

With performances like this, it is imperative Reading keep hold of McIntyre. Another goal and another outstanding showing defensively from McIntyre who dealt with the pace and trickery of the Bournemouth's attackers masterfully.

Omar Richards - 9

Looked a rock at the back and didn't stop charging up and down the line. His positional play was spot on and he snuffed out a lot of danger before it could develop.

Josh Laurent - 9

What can this man not do? His passing was exceptional, his energy was admirable and his skill in the challenge and possession was a delight to behold. Another sensational display.

Andy Rinomhota - 9

Almost flawless from Rinomhota who provided a shield for the backline all night as he covered every inch of grass on the pitch. Gave everything for the win and looked a real calming influence on the ball.

Notched another assist and could have had more, such was the quality of Olise on the ball. Showed examples constantly of why he is so highly-touted with a masterclass in close control, set-pieces, passing and dribbling.

John Swift - 9

Instrumental in the Royals midfield once more. Dictated the tempo of the play and produced a number of impressive passes to get his teammates into promising positions.
