Reading FC have unveiled a new crest which will be worn next season, when the club marks its 150th anniversary.

The new crest, which can be seen below, remains similar to the one that currently is in use in a gold colour scheme.
Reading Football Club was founded in late 1871 when a group of young townsmen met in Gun Street to kick off the club we all support today.

The 2021-22 season will see us mark our 150th anniversary, and we can now introduce a season of celebration that will start this summer…
It also features a new '150 years' message at the bottom of the crest.

The club have previously confirmed that work is also being carried out on a new fans mural that will adorn the West Stand at the Madejski Stadium.

It's not too late to get involved and have your image adorn the side of Madejski Stadium as we prepare to mark a century and a half of history...
The artwork will be on the outside of the stadium and will be filled with hand-drawn photos submitted by Royals supporters.
