Here are our player ratings from Reading's 2-1 win away at Huddersfield.

Rafael - 7

Left with little to do for much of the game as Reading dominated a lot of the game. Beaten by a good header early on and made a superb stop to deny Mbenza an equaliser in the second half.

Tom Holmes - 5
Had a busy afternoon with both Toffolo and O'Brien seeing plenty of the ball for the hosts. Beaten a few times with those runs and allowed Campbell a relatively simple header for the opening goal. Kept going and didn't tire.

Michael Morrison - 7
Another physical display from the stand-in captain who battled well all afternoon and matched Huddersfield's physicality. Produced a number of important blocks and challenges.

Tom McIntyre - 7
Dictated a lot of the ball from deep and was keen to get attacks going. Produced an inch-perfect through ball for Joao's first goal. Looked solid for much of the game but was occasionally dragged out of position.

Omar Richards - 7

Looked back to full fitness with an energetic display t both ends of the pitch. Made some key challenges and drew some important free-kicks. Added to Reading's attacking threat, especially in the second half.

Andy Rinomhota - 7

Passed the ball quickly and accurately in possession and covered a lot of ground. Didn't give the Huddersfield midfielders much time on the ball.

Josh Laurent - 8

You know what you're going to get with Laurent and again he was brilliant in the middle. Drove forward whenever possible on the ball and constantly played the right pass at the right time.

Ovie Ejaria - 6

Struggle for consistency in the first half of the game and made a few errors on the ball. Looked brighter in the second half and provided a couple of gorgeous touches to create space for his teammates.

Sone Aluko - 7

Had a couple of chances in the first half, one on and one off-target. Looked lively on the ball and keen to drive at his man. Looks much more confident than we've seen previously.

John Swift - 7

Linked the play well and dictated the tempo, pulling the strings in the advanced central role.

Lucas Joao - 9

What more can be said about this man that hasn't already been said? Turned the game around with two fantastic finishes and looked a class above, especially in the second half. Skilful, intelligent and powerful.
