Rafael - 6

Alert to a few half chances from QPR and claimed a lot of deliveries into the area with confidence. Still looked a little off with some of his distribution.

Tomas Esteves - 4

Was beaten rather easily a few times out wide and looked shaky. Didn't offer a huge amount going forward and was subbed halfway through the second half.

Liam Moore - 8

Made some key blocks and was very brave in the challenge. Demonstrated his leadership as he organised the defence.

Michael Morrison - 7

Complimented his partner in defence with a commanding display. Strong in the challenge and good in the air again.

Omar Richards - 6

A real worrying sight for Reading fans when he went off in the first half with injury. Before that he was good, defending well and providing an outlet to go forward. Hopefully won't be out for long, given how impressive he's been so far this season.

Josh Laurent - 8

Another fantastic display from Laurent. Didn't stop running and got Reading up the field with some lung-busting runs in the final stages. Broke up the play well all game with some important challenges.

Andy Rinomhota - 7

Much like Laurent, Rinomhota stepped up and tried to force the issue from deep. A little less effective in doing so but still, very good indeed. Tenacious tackling all afternoon helped prevent a few QPR breaks.

Sone Aluko - 4

Didn't make much of a mark on the game, his most notable moment was a skewed effort from the edge of the area. Didn't cause enough headaches for the defence and was marked out of the game for long periods.

Ovie Ejaria - 6

Linked well in the second half with teammates as much of Reading's attacking play was going through him. Struggled to create much as he was marked very closely, but got out of tight spots with some sublime control. Brave on the ball as he dribbled out of the defence on a few occasions.

Alfa Semedo - 5

Keen to get on the ball and impress without a huge deal of end product. Came short to collect the ball and tried to link the play. Won his fair share of headers.

Sam Baldock - 6

Produced some good runs to get in behind the QPR defence without much to show for it, as he was often left isolated. Hassled the QPR defence well out of possession.

SUBS

Lewis Gibson - 7

Came on for Richards and looked assured in defence and eager to support the attack. His positional play was spot on and kept Adomah quiet after he came on very effectively.

Tom Holmes - 5

A bit hesitant in possession and gifted QPR their best chance of the game with a stray pass.

Michael Olise - 8

The match winner. Changed the game after he came on and got his just rewards for his work with a sublime late goal.

Tom McIntyre - 7

Produced a lovely back-heel in the build-up to Olise's late goal and helped sure the defence up in the final moments.
