Reading FC fans were left questioning the performance of referee Oliver Langford after Wednesday evening's draw with Sheffield Wednesday.
Despite the referee awarding the home side a red card in the first half, Royals supporters slammed Langford's decision not to award Reading a spot kick in the second half.
Paunovic's side had four penalty shouts turned down by the officials and this was the main talking point post-match amongst Reading fans across social media.
Here is a selection of just some of the reaction.
Less than 12 hours have passed… breakfast tastes a little salty this morning 🧂

But this is the last you’ll hear of it.
Most important is moving on to Saturday and for the first time in EIGHT MONTHS having our fans in Madejski Stadium again. We cannot wait to have you back! 🤗 pic.twitter.com/QMNrG2gDLf
Wow. How on earth have Reading not had a penalty tonight, let alone four. Utter disgrace, @EFL. #readingfc

When an experienced manager like Pulis admits we should have had two penalties then you know it’s true. Such a shocking ref. So easy for fans to criticise but on this occasion it’s warranted. He’s cost us first spot. Simple as. And NOTHING will be done about it. #readingfc

How we didn’t get at least 3 penalties tonight is completely beyond me. The referee must of been from Yorkshire.#ReadingFC

Just so frustrating in such an important game for @ReadingFC absolutely diabolical officiating costs us the game. We had our chances but to miss all of those penalty shouts is nothing short of disgraceful. @EFL must do something or become even more of a laughing stock #readingfc

I don't even support @ReadingFC but got to feel for them. 4 blatant penalties! @SkyBetChamp your referees are an utter disgrace.

I tell you what though, I still don't think I'd want VAR. This actually is the sort of thing I love about football.

Don't get me wrong, Langford should have his cards and whistle taken off him, but I love this side of the game. The injustice is crazy, but it's done. #Readingfc
I’m struggling to think of a worse refereeing performance in all my life after that display tonight. No doubt about it, 2 stonewall pens turned down! Huge opportunity missed tonight #ReadingFC
