Here are our player ratings from Reading's brilliant 4-2 win over Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

Rafael - 8

Produced some vital stops to deny Blackburn in the second half, showing fantastic concentration to maintain Reading's lead. Both goals were excellent, and left Rafael with little chance for either.

Tomas Esteves - 9

Showed energy in abundance and didn't stop getting up and down the field. Defended valiantly and looked incredibly skillful in possession.

Liam Moore - 8

Another captain's performance from Liam Moore. Dominated in the air, positioned himself fantastically and was more often than not in the right place at the right time to clear the danger.

Michael Morrison - 7

Rushed his passing a little bit at times and gifted the hosts the ball, inviting pressure - but otherwise impressive from Morrison who continues his fantastic start to the campaign.

Omar Richards - 8

Much like Esteves on the right-flank, Richards drove up and down the wing all night and always looked to provide an option on the overlap. Surrendered possession for the Blackburn opener but recovered really well and continues to impress.

Andy Rinomhota - 8

Supported the attack with some lovely forward surges but was brilliant in his main role, harrying the Blackburn midfield and not allowing the hosts to build from deep.

Josh Laurent - 9

Opened his account for Reading with a stunning finish from distance and shielded the defence all night with a tenacious and energetic display. What a signing he's proving to be.

Michael Olise - 9

Skillful, confident and dazzling on the ball. His close control is a joy to behold, he looked a class above. Stupendous showing from the youngster, who showed composure in abundance for his goal.

Yakou Meite - 8

Was alert from the off and opened the scoring with a matter of seconds on the clock. Continued to impress throughout the night with a tireless showing, on and off the ball.

Alfa Semedo - 9

By far his best display since his arrival. Great on the ball, showing ability to maintain possession in tight spots, and continued to press as the game went on.

Lucas Joao - 9

Laid it on a plate for Yakou Meite's goal in the opening seconds with a sumptuous back-heel. Pressed from the front and got the goal his performance deserved with a stunning, composed finish to seal the points. Brought others into play frequently with exceptional touches.

SUBS

Sone Aluko - 5

Provided an injection of energy in the final stages but wasn't really ever going to make much of an impression, given the nature of the game at the time of his introduction. Didn't do much wrong, however.

Tom McIntyre - 6

Came on for the final ten minutes and added a bit more steel into the midfield.
