Reading FC remain in discussions to bring Ovie Ejaria to the club from Liverpool.

The club have been working to re-arrange the original deal - hoping that Ejaria will agree on a restructured wage deal.

It was originally understood that the club had hoped to wrap the deal up last week. But at this point, the situation remains ongoing and has not changed.

Ejaria was spotted over the weekend training with the squad, suggesting Mark Bowen is confident of securing Ejaria's permanent future.

Reading FC transfer target Oliver Skipp is set for a loan move to Norwich City.

The club were keen in bringing the 19-year-old to the club on a loan deal, although it appears that The Canaries have persuaded Skipp to join on a season-long loan.

John Swift appears set to remain at the club for the time being, despite Premier League interest - as reported by BBC Radio Berkshire.

Sheffield United had previously lodged a bid for the playmaker, although it was rebuffed by the club who had seen it as a derisory offer.

BBC Berkshire have reported that Swift and his agent remain in the dark over his future with little dialogue from the club.

The club have expressed genuine interest in bringing Sporting Lisbon striker Pedro Mendes to the club.

Mendes has been told he is surplus to requirements at the Portugese club, although any move is unlikely at this point to materialise in the near future.

Reading also remain hopeful that Michael Olise will remain at the club this Summer.

Leeds United have expressed an interest in the young midfielder, although it is understood that no official approach has been made - with the Yorkshire club wary of Olise's sizeable price tag.

It is understood that Scottish giants Celtic are also interested in signing Olise - again, no official approach has yet been made.
