Here are our player ratings from Reading’s on the final day against Swansea City.

Rafael – 4

Handled well for long spells and made some brave stops but ultimately conceded four goals.

Chris Gunter – 4

Afforded too much space on the left hand flank and struggled to deal with the intensity when Swansea pressed them with real vigour in the second half.

Michael Morrison – 4

Was all over the place as Reading fell apart in the final few moments defensively. Before that however, Morrison did put in an energetic display and won some key headers.

Matt Miazga - 4

Perhaps could have closed Brewster down quicker for the opener but the goal was spectacular strike from a really long range. Lost his runners on occasion but made a number of key, niggly challenges to disrupt the play. Subbed off and looked in pain.

Omar Richards – 4

Offensively, Richards tried to get forward – but to little effect. Also, similar to Gunter, often looked exposed on the wings.

Liam Moore – 5

Broke up play in his central defensive role relatively well and made a nuisance of himself in the opposition box. Needed to do more to quell the offensive pressure in the second half.

Yakou Meite - 3

Sent off stupidly for a needless reaction. When he was on the pitch – he was unlucky in the first half after a few through balls just eluded him. Let his teammates down with a stupid sending off.

Andy Rinomhota – 5

Energetic off and on the ball as he always is but failed to really make much of an impact on the match as a whole.

John Swift – 5

Linked the play well and put in some dangerous looking balls into the Swansea box from set pieces.

Michael Olise - 5

Looked to attack the Swansea defence well in the opening stages. A little slow at getting the ball out of his feet at times but looked dangerous on the ball – lacked that necessary end product.

George Puscas - 6

Worked hard and ran the channels really well in the first half and well with Meite in spells before his red card. Converted the penalty well. Industrious but without much reward in the second period but continued to run and try hold the ball up.

SUBS

Lucas Boye – 3

Wasted two good chances after he came off the bench.

Garath McCleary – 4

He was involved as more spaces emerged in the Swansea half as they pushed for the goals they needed but was wasteful at the key moments.

Tyler Blackett – N/A
