In the 2019-20 season, Swift has been one of the shining lights of the Reading side - contributing with six goals and 10 assists in 40 appearances.
Mark Bowen has also give Swift the captain's armband in recent weeks, despite his imminent sale.
It is thought that Swift is one of a number of first team stars that could be heading to the exit door as Reading feel the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent implications on the income of the club.
