Here are our player ratings from Reading's 4-3 defeat to Blackburn at Ewood Park.

Rafael - 5

Couldn't be blamed for any of the goals but hardly made any exceptional stops and still ended up picking the ball out of his net four times.

Quick off his line at times.

Chris Gunter - 5

Got into some really promising positions offensively, especially in the second half.

Left big gaps at time at the back but developed as the game went on.

Tom Mcintyre - 6

Forced off with a nasty looking head injury but played really well before he was forced off. Defended strongly and made some important blocks.

Michael Morrison - 4

Allowed too much space for the Blackburn men to run into as they attacked the Reading defence. Needed to do more to organize the back line.

Tyler Blackett - 4

Offensively he didn't add much and struggled to deal with the movement of Armstrong and Brereton especially.

Omar Richards - 5

Needed to get closer to his man cutting in from the edge and needed to provide much more of an offensive threat.

Andy Rinomhota - 6

Energetic and purposeful in the middle of the pitch from Rinomhota. Did the ugly side of the game well.

John Swift - 5

Scored an exceptional goal in the first half from a free kick but was perhaps a little slack with his passing which wasted chances for Reading to break.

Yakou Meite - 5

Jumped highest to level the game at 3-3 with an exceptional header. A bit isolated in the first half but got more involved as the game went on.

Michael Olise - 5

Showed his control on the ball in tight spaces really well but perhaps lacked a bit of end product as Bowen would've liked.

George Puscas - 4

Really struggled to retain possession and looked a touch off the pace at times during the game. He didn't have any service.

SUBS

Sam Baldock - 8

A brilliant but ultimately unsucessful impact. Glanced in a fantastic header to get Reading back to the game at 3-2. Then did brilliantly to find Meite to level the game.

Jordan Obita - 5

Teed up Baldock with a fabulous cross just after he came on to get Reading back into the game. Ultimately though, his slack defending allowed Gallagher to head in the hosts' fourth goal.

Liam Moore - 4

Unfortunate to be the man to deflect he ball past Rafael for the hosts' third. Needed to do more to break up the play in the midfield.

Gabriel Osho - 4

Spurned a good chance to level late on. Defended relatively well.

Garath McCleary - 6

Came on and added some energy into the attack and created a few chances.
