Reading take on high-flying Brentford at the Madejski Stadium tonight (6pm kick-off).

Tonight's visitors have been incredibly impressive all season and picked up where they left off after the three month season suspension, recording victories against fellow promotion candidates Fulham and West Brom in their first two games since the restart.

Here is everything you need to know ahead of tonight's clash.

TEAM NEWS

Matt Miazga is ruled out of tonight's game after he picked up a red card following a clash with Tom Lawrence after the final whistle on Saturday.

Lucas Joao remains sidelined after sustaining an injury in the return to Championship action against Stoke City.

Andy Yiadom has been ruled out of Reading's games against Stoke City and Derby County with a hamstring injury and tonight may come too soon for his return.

Both Michael Olise and Ovie Ejaria suffered with cramp against Derby - with manager Mark Bowen admitting after Saturday's game that rotation may be required to ensure his side remains relatively healthy for the remainder of this campaign.

THE MANAGERS THOUGHTS

"If we approach this evening’s game by getting onto the front foot, using our quality to take the game to them, then there’s no reason why we can’t get a result.

"If we can iron out those key situations in games, the key decisions in matches, we'll turn those good performaces into points, I'm sure.

"We know it's going to be a tough game against Brentford. But, if we can approach this game in the right way - we were probably a bit too passive in the first half at Derby, so we need to be more aggressive in our forward play - then let's see where we find ourselves after the final whistle tonight."

THE DANGER MAN

Brentford have had the most potent attack in the Championship this season, scoring 67 goals so far.

Ollie Watkins has contributed with 23 of these goals - including the only goal of the game in Reading's trip to Griffin Park in November.

It's imperative that Watkins is kept as quiet as possible tonight if Reading have any chance of springing a surprise against the West London side.
