Every season ticket holder over the age of 70 will, within the next few weeks, receive a free copy of the Reading vs Stoke City matchday programme.
Although the game was ultimately called off as result of the COVID-19 outbreak - as part of the preparations, a full issue of the matchday programme went to print.
With the match being called off, the club has been left with a limited supply of the programmes that were never sold.

The club have said that the programmes will be distributed to elderly season ticket holders in order to help people within the community stay engaged with football during these unprecedented times.
A club spokesperson said: "Reading FC had hoped supporters would be leafing through the pages from the stands at Madejski Stadium last weekend.
"The football community continue to wait to establish when football might resume and when a rearranged meeting with the Potters might take place.
"But, although this period in history is not going to be one we want to remember, last Saturday's edition of the programme will remain something of a collector's item."
