With many events that were due to be held at the Madejski Stadium being cancelled as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, Reading FC have donated leftover food to a local branch of the Salvation Army.
The charity, located in Willow House in the centre of Reading, can house 38 people who are homeless and in need of help.

Among the donation of fresh fruit and vegetables were potatoes, leeks, mushrooms, peppers, carrots, melons, pineapple and broccoli.
In addition, over 1,000 eggs and 36 litres of milk have also been donated.
A club spokesman said: "At a time when some of the most disadvantaged members of our society are particularly vulnerable, the food donation has gone a small way towards providing a bit of relief – enabling the staff at Salvation Army to prepare some fresh meals during the shelf life of the food."
