OUR Lady of Peace Premier kept up their Reading & District League Division One title challenge after winning 8-2 against Kennet Valley A. Kingfisher A were back to full strength as they beat a two-person Sonning Common & Peppard C team 10-0, while third-placed Sonning Common & Peppard B were 9-1 winners at Kingfisher B thanks to trebles from Andy Wang and reserve Simon Berry, Nigel Maltby winning twice.

Jason Roberts and Joe Barraclough got trebles as Sonning Common & Peppard A beat Curzon Club A 8-2.

Phil Mead’s maximum helped Kingfisher C to a 7-3 win at Tidmarsh A, while Springfield A were 7-3 winners against Tidmarsh B, Graham Diplock leading the way with a treble.

In Division Two, Tilehurst Methodists A took a significant step towards promotion after beating Sonning Common & Peppard D 9-1, Eric Van Looy and Keith Winter with trebles.

Second-placed OLOP A sealed a fine 10-0 win at Milestone A, Darek Kaminski, Benedict Carless and Chris West all on top form with trebles. Sonning Sports A kept up their promotion challenge after beating Kingfisher E 8-2, Paul Savage starring with a maximum while Kingfisher’s Roger Pritchard managed two wins for his side.

OLOP B and OLOP C drew 5-5, Pat Daniels and Pradeep Desh with two apiece for the B team while Igo Scremec and Dave Godfrey did the same for their opponents.

Kingfisher D were 6-4 winners at OLOP D thanks to trebles from Luca Bianchi and Clive Gold, while in a big relegation tussle Springfield B and Pangbourne WMC drew 5-5 after Leroy Wilson won twice for the latter.

By beating Tidmarsh C 6-4, Reading FC A have clinched promotion and almost certainly as champions from Division Three. Mike Childs hit a three-straight treble and Wayne Alleyne obtained a double for the unbeaten leaders.

OLOP E had a fine 6-4 win at Milestone B, Mo Cook gaining a three straight treble.

Ruben Hernandez was in top form for Kingfisher F by winning all three against Curzon Club C.

Springfield C beat Sonning Sports B 7-3 to all but clinch survival, Jason King the star by winning all three.

Kate Maksimenko and Nick Lean starred with trebles for Curzon Club B in their 7-3 win at Tidmarsh D, while Kingfisher G and Tilehurst Methodists B fought out a 5-5 draw. For the birds Nils Wedi won all three.

In Division Four, Sonning Common & Peppard E suffered a surprise 6-4 defeat at home to Kennet Valley Free Church B, for whom Roshan Patel scored a treble and Steve Christelow a double. For the Commoners, Anthony Reeve won twice.

Sonning Common & Peppard F's Derek Wavell landed a maximum in their 5-5 draw with Sonning Sports C 5-5, John Scott and Stephen Reader recording doubles.

Milestone C defeated Tidmarsh E 6-4 courtesy of a treble from John Evans and a double from Tony Hayden, Roger Stevens with two wins for their opponents.

Sonning Common & Peppard G consolidated their lead at the top with an 8-2 defeat of two-man OLOP F.

Kingfisher H could also only field two players, but since Anita Pytka and Azaan Ali were both undefeated on the night they ended up beating Springfield D 7-3.
