A grand total of 15 players from the Reading FC Women squad and academy have been called up by their respective international sides.

Royals skipper Nathasha Harding, Angharad James and Rachel Rowe have all been selected for the Wales squad, alongside Charlie Estcourt and Lily Woodham who’re both at Charlton Athletic on loan.

Defender Sophie Howard will represent Scotland in the Pinatar Cup, which will see the side play three fixtures in seven days – pitting their wits against Ukraine, Iceland and finally Northern Ireland.

Norwegian duo Lisa-Marie Utland and Amalie Eikeland and Irisih goalkeeper Grace Moloney have also been called up.

Reading’s academy will also be represented in the international break. Mia Cruickshank, Sophie Quirk, Emma Harries and Rhiannon Stewart have all been called up by the England Lionesses U18 squad – with Kiera Skeels receiving a call up for the U19’s.

Niamh Reynolds rounds off the list, after being called up to the Republic of Ireland U19’s squad.

On Thursday evening, Royals Women fell to an extra time defeat against Leicester in the Women’s FA Cup fifth round.

A brace from substitute Paige Bailey-Gayle was the difference between the sides, after Kelly Chambers' side had gone ahead through a spot kick from Brooke Chaplen in the first half.
