Reading fans took to social media to criticize the club for the ticket prices, claiming that Reading fans were the latest in a line of Championship supporters to be taken advantage of by the £39 prices.
It’s time we started charging Leeds the same amount when they visit the MS.

Free coach doesn’t justify ripping off people. https://t.co/gyW4sIoYVN
Maybe don’t charge £39 for a ticket then, @LUFC. https://t.co/lwgd3W6jvJ

Deliberately pricing out away fans in order to cut the allocation that gets sold, then making snide remarks about it on social media. Couldn’t think of a nicer football club. https://t.co/OTSeO8kEVa

Latest club with fans that don't want to spend £39 to stand in a shed for 90 minutes. https://t.co/HzJInKrcOp

Absolutely embarrassing. You're pitting football fans against each other to distract from the fact that you charge extortionate prices, far higher than any premier league club
— Charlie (@RFC_Charlie) February 17, 2020
Supporters from other Championship sides also criticized the Yorkshire club in response to their tweet.
£39 for a ticket for a championship game is a joke! Whatever happened to 20 is plenty?
— Steve Bibbing (@Bibbing90) February 17, 2020- charges double the price of every other championship side for away tickets
No-one wants to see you play that much. Try pricing that is more commensurate with your position in the football league...
— Tom Jackson (@jxntom) February 17, 2020
No surprise whatsoever given the appalling prices you charge
— Up the Clarets (@utcdotcom) February 17, 2020
- charges double the price of every other championship side for away tickets

- brags that other fans don’t show up
maybe get to the premier league before you start charging premier league prices 🤣
Outrageous pricing, hardly something to boast about. 'Reading are the latest club not enjoying getting ripped off, so we are ripping our own fans off'
