The injury curse continues to strike Reading's squad, with full back Chris Gunter the latest to be ruled out through injury.
The Welsh right back has featured regularly for Mark Bowen's side since first choice right back Andy Yiadom also picked up an injury back in December.
Gunter was brought off for debutant Felipe Araruna after picking up a suspected groin problem in the first half of Reading's 1-1 draw with Hull City on the weekend.
It is understood that Gunter will face up to a month on the sidelines as he recovers from the injury.
Andy Yiadom is set for an imminent return to Mark Bowen's squad after featuring for the U23's last weekend and will take Gunter's place upon his return to the first team picture.
