It is understood that League One side Blackpool are hoping to bring in Teddy Howe before the transfer window closes.
With Andy Yiadom set to return from injury within the next few weeks and Chris Gunter impressing on his return to the side, it is thought that Howe will be loaned out in order to get regular football.
Gunter’s contract is expiring at the end of the year – with Howe set to become Reading’s second-choice right back behind Andy Yiadom next season, should Gunter not sign a new deal.
Howe played in both games against The Tangerines in the FA Cup third round, as well as in the Fourth Round against Cardiff City.
The 21-year-old also featured twice in the Carabao Cup, against Plymouth Argyle and Premier League side Wolves.
