Reading manager Mark Bowen and goalkeeper Rafael have both been nominated for the Championship Manager and Player of the month awards for December respectively.
The Royals enjoyed a very fruitful December, picking up eleven points in six games last month and finishing the month unbeaten in five league games.
During that spell, Rafael was in brilliant form - keeping clean sheets in four consecutive games over the festive period.
The Brazillian keeper made a number of stunning stops to keep this impressive record in tact, especially in the home victories over Derby County and QPR.
Bowen has been joined on the four manager shortlist by Millwall manager Gary Rowett, Boro boss Jonathan Woodgate and Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa.
Out of the four managers on the shortlist, Jonathan Woodgate saw his side accumulate the most points in December (13).
Rafael has been joined on the shortlist by Barnsley forward Conor Chaplin, Cardiff City's midfielder Lee Tomlin and Millwall's Jed Wallace.
The winners of both awards will be announced tomorrow morning.
