Reading U23's fell to a frustrating 4-2 defeat to West Bromwich Albion, despite taking a 2-0 lead into the break at Aggborough.

Adam Liddle opened the scoring for the young Royals, latching on to a knock down by Oli Pendlebury to score from close range.

Thierry Nevers, who has since signed his first professional contract for Reading, doubled the visitors advantage with a powerful finish after being found by Jack Nolan.

In the second half, Ryan Tulloch halved the deficit within five minutes of the restart, converting from close range after being picked out by Samuel Wilding.

Chris Willock then levelled the scores, curling an accurate effort beyond Coniah Boyce-Clarke.

The turnaround was then completed as Tulloch got his second of the game, firing low into the bottom corner from a tight angle.

Reading had a chance to level the game again, but spurned a chance from the penalty spot, with Adam Liddle's spot kick saved well by Bradley House.

Chris Willock then made the game safe for West Brom, finding the net with a powerful drive at the near post.
