WOODLEY United manager Jamie Williams described their 1-1 draw with high-flying Abingdon United as an 'unbelievable result', writes Dave Wright.

And he added: "It feels like a win,"

They played for 55 minutes with 10 men after defender Jamaal Whight had been shown a straight red card for a rash challenge.

"After that the work rate of the players was outstanding. I could not have asked for any more from them," said Williams, who remains unbeaten in four games since being appointed manager last month.

"The pressure is now on me to keep the run going."

Woodley took the lead in the 15th minute when Toby Briggs was brought down in the area and Max Lashcok made no mistake from the penalty spot.

It was his fifth goal in three games and shortly afterwards the in-form striker was not far away from adding to his tally.

But the hosts then suffered two blows in quick succession with Ben Curtis hammering a superb 25-yard shot past keeper Pete Davies for a 34th-minute equaliser, followed two minutes later by Whight's dismissal.
