Tyler Blackett is on the verge of joining Turkish giants Fenerbahçe, according to Turkish media outlet Asist Analiz.

The report says that Fenerbahçe, who currently find themselves sitting in fourth position in the Turkish Super Lig seven points behind league leaders Sivasspor, are 'very close' to signing Blackett.

Asist Analiz reports that Fenerbahçe are in the market for reinforcements in the January transfer window, especially in the left back position.

Blackett has featured nine times in the league so far this season, including the last six games.

The former Manchester United full-back is out of contract in the summer and the January window will be the last chance for Reading to earn a fee for Blackett, unless he signs a new deal before the end of the season.
