Reading have offered a new contract to young star Danny Loader, manager Mark Bowen has confirmed.
There has reportedly been renewed interest from Premier League outfit Wolves, who missed out on signing the 19-year-old in the Summer transfer window after Reading cancelled the deal.
Loader, who has appeared eight times for the Royals so far this season, has already featured for England at youth level – scoring for the first time for the U20s last month in a 3-0 win over Iceland U21s at Wycombe’s Adams Park.
Loader made 21 appearances for Reading last season, scoring one goal and providing one assist. So far this term, he has featured six times in all competitions and is yet to open his account for the 2019-20 season.
With his contract expiring next summer, Royals boss Mark Bowen has confirmed that a new contract has been offered to Loader as the club looks to secure his long-term future.
Mark Bowen said: "An offer has been put in front of him. Him, his family and his advisors are considering it."
The youngster could leave on a free next Summer, with the January window being the last opportunity for Reading to receive a fee for Loader.
