Reading legend Phil Parkinson is interested in bringing former Reading midfielder Liam Kelly back to England, according to reports.

Parkinson, who now manages League One side Sunderland, is 'keen to offer Kelly a way back into English football' according to The Sun.

Kelly left Reading for Feyenoord last summer, linking up with former Royals boss Jaap Stam.

However, he has made just one Eredivisie appearance since his move. His situation was made worse when Jaap Stam was sacked by Feyenoord in October, leaving Kelly's first team hopes at De Kuip in tatters.

According to the report, both MK Dons and Oxford United are also interested in the Irish midfielder.
