The Reading Chronicle spoke to Leeds fan @Samphil95 after the match at the Madejski Stadium.

What did you make of Reading's performance last night?

Reading set up to play to frustrate us and for a vast majority of the game they did. Ejaria looks a steal at £3,000,000 and if I’m truthful after the opening exchanges his presence worried me.

As the game went on I feel the fitness levels instilled under Bielsa were the key difference in this game, along with the injection of pace you seemed to struggle with under Alioski.

Do you think it was a fair result?

I do feel the result was a fair result. I feel on another day with some more aggressive play in the final third, we could have buried several.

However, Reading weren’t exactly rolling over and fashioned some decent opportunities themselves. On the balance of this a 1-0 win to me was hard fought but also fairly earned.

Do you think Reading's league position is a fair reflection of the sides quality?

Judging by the level of your performance your league position does not reflect the team I saw yesterday.

Clearly Ejaria as stated before is electric and the likes of Meite may have simply had an off day, but we’re all aware he knows where the net is.

I’d say a top half placing at the least would be reflective of the performance delivered. The ability to frustrate opponents and counter quickly is not reflective of a bottom half side.

Where do you expect both teams to finish in May?

For Reading, I’d expect a sturdy mid table finish, I believe the early storm weathered under Gomes is now over and judging from previous results Bowen is the man to steady the ship and build a platform.

Leeds, well, my heart and my head both say our desperate search to return to the heights we once fell from will come to an end.

There is a feeling though... and any Leeds fan will agree with this, that we could “do a Leeds”.

To put it bluntly, if we’re top in May I’ll celebrate until then I’ll stay tight lipped and hoping and praying.
