SONNING Common & Peppard B and Kingfisher B drew 5-5 in Division One of the Reading & District League, while a fine treble from Grant Wheatley helped Kingfisher C to an impressive 9-1 victory against Tidmarsh A, Phil Mead also getting a maximum.

Jason Roberts, Neil Hurford and Malcolm Gregory all got trebles as Sonning Common & Peppard A were impressive 10-0 winners at Curzon Club A.

An Ian Cole maximum and two apiece from Steve Murgatroyd and Thomas Lewis saw Our Lady of Peace Premier win 8-2 at Kennet Valley A, while at the bottom a Phil Burke treble saw Springfield A manage a 5-5 draw at Tidmarsh B.

In Division Two, OLOP A maintained their lead with a convincing 9-1 victory over Milestone A, Benedict Carless, Darek Kaminski and Clive Perry all getting maximums.

Tilehurst Methodists A won a tight encounter with Sonning Common & Peppard D 6-4 thanks mainly to another treble from Eric Vann Looy, while Sonning Sports A saw their promotion hopes dented by a 7-3 defeat against Kingfisher E, despite a maximum for Paul Savage.

Dave Holt got a maximum as OLOP C won their inter-club derby with Our Lady of Peace B 6-4.

David Wells, Clive Gold and Luca Bianchi all got maximums as Kingfisher D toppled Our Lady of Peace D 10-0, while in a key relegation battle Springfield B managed a 6-4 win over Pangbourne WMC A, Peter Gurney leading the way with a hat-trick.

In a top-of-the-table clash in Division Three, Reading FC A beat Tidmarsh C 7–3.

Mike Childs was the star for Reading FC by winning all three and teaming up with Jazz Dhillon to win the doubles.

Hat-tricks from Jes Eassom and Martin Wetherell helped Tilehurst Methodists B beat Kingfisher G 9–1, while OLOP E lost 6-4 to Milestone B, despite a treble from Mo Cook.

A good team performance saw Curzon Club B draw 5-5 with Tidmarsh D. Charlotte Binley and Carine Bey both gained doubles for Curzon, as did Dave Edwards for Tidmarsh.

Kingfisher F beat Curzon Club C 7–3 with Peter Bennett and Eric Holmes both unbeaten.

In Division Four, Tidmarsh E benefitted from Milestone C only fielding two players, Tidmarsh winning 7-3 despite a hat-trick from Milestone’s John Evans.

Sonning Common & Peppard G lost 6-4 to OLOP F, with the visitors Jan Polnik, Qing Wu and Alona Slobodskoy each winning twice, and Melvyn Lovegrove going the same for the Commoners. Kingfisher H consolidated their position in the table with a 7-3 victory at Springfield D, Azaan Ali and Haris Munir both recording maximums.

The youngsters from Kennet Valley Free Church B fought to a 5-5 draw against the two players from Sonning Common & Peppard E, Jim Warren with a treble.

Derek Wavell was on form for Sonning Common & Peppard F but they lost 7-3 to Sonning Sports C, Stephen Reader, Michael Byrne and Jude O’Halloran each winning twice for the Sports team.

In a Lower Division’s knock-out cup match, Kingfisher F triumphed 5-4 against their G team club mates.
