IN Division One of the Reading & District League, Ross Saxby and Mark Banks made their opening appearances of the season for Kingfisher A and both got maximums as they crushed Tidmarsh A 9-1.
Kingfisher B proved too hot for Kingfisher C as they ran out 9-1 winners, Martin Adams and Justin Mead with three-straight trebles, while Sonning Common & Peppard A won their derby with Sonning Common & Peppard C 7-3 thanks to maximums from Neil Hurford and Jason Roberts.
Graham Mendick impressed with a treble for Kennet Valley A as they drew 5-5 at Sonning Common & Peppard B, while Nigel Maltby and Jeremy Willis won twice for the Commoners.
A maximum from Graham Diplock and two wins from Phil Burke, helped Springfield A to a 7-3 win at Curzon Club A.
Darek Kaminski and Benedict Carless both hit trebles as Our Lady of Peace A maintained their lead in Division Two after beating Kingfisher D 9-1.
Sonning Sports A enhanced their promotion credentials with a 10-0 hammering of Pangbourne WMC, Paul Savafe, Nick Shears and Bob Woodmansee all with hat-tricks.
Alan Mollett starred for Sonning Common & Peppard D as they beat OLOP D 8-2, while OLOP B had to work hard for their 6-4 victory at Springfield B, Rob Wilkie and Stephen Leggett both winning twice for Springfield.
Roger Pritchard was in fine form with a maximum as Kingfisher E won 6-4 against Milestone A.
Hat-tricks from Carine Bey and Charlotte Binley gave Curzon Club B a 6–4 win over Milestone B in their Division Three clash.
Reading FC A march on at the top by beating Springfield C in style 10- 0, Anthony Alleyne, Mike Childs and Jazz Dhillon the hat-trick men, while a good team performance saw Kingfisher F win 6-4 at Our Lady of Peace E with Sandeep Burande and Ruben Hernandez winning two besides teaming up to win the doubles.
Kingfisher G beat Tidmarsh D 6–4 with captain Nils Wedi winning all three.
Tidmarsh C hammered Tilehurst Methodists B 10-0 with Ian Wu, Spencer Harvey and Simon Craig all doing the business, while Curzon Club C took themselves off the foot of the table after they gained a first win of the season by beating Sonning Sports B 6-4.
New recruit Paul Treadgold was the star by winning all three, Peter Hillier winning two.
In Division Four, the latest intra-club contest between Sonning Common & Peppard’s G and F teams resulted in an emphatic 9-1 victory for the G team,
Simon Berry and Melvyn Lovegrove both recording further maximums, with Marko Madzar winning twice on his first outing this season.
Reading FC B continued their fine run with a 10-0 win over Milestone C, Freedom Agindotan, Derek Anderson and Joe Bull all with perfect evenings.
OLOP F defeated Springfield D 7-3, Qing Wu recording his first treble supported by doubles from both Jan Polnik and Alona Slobodskoy.
Two-man Tidmarsh E lost 7-3 to Kennet Valley Free Church B, while Sonning Common & Peppard E kept up their push for the top spot with a 9-1 win away at Sonning Sports C, Anthony Reeve and Jim Warren both recording maximums, while David Pearson added a double.
