READING Racers head into their last three days of racing for 2019 tonight (Thursday) when they travel to Poole to meet the Weymouth Wildcats in search of precious Southern Development League points.

It is a big stage for the Racers as each of their riders will be hoping this is just the first of many appearances at one of the most famous tracks in British Speedway.

Skipper Nick Laurence will once again line up at No.1 in front of the Pirates fans, with William O'keefe playing the role of first mate as he has for most of the season.

The big two are joined by young guns Rhys Laker and Eli Meadows, both of who will be relishing the big stage as they seek to impress one last time before the close season sets in.

Weymouth, suffering from rider unavailability as the Racers have all season, blood two new riders in Darren Carr and Jamie Evans, both making their first appearance in league racing.

Wildcats managers Martin Peters and James Tresadern will be hoping they have discovered a new jewel for their crown as they look toward next season.

Racers will be looking for another win after some good results recently from the same four riders to help them climb the league as they approach their final match of the season against Carmarthen on Saturday night.

The Welsh side will be looking for revenge having been crushed 25-11 by Racers in Reading's last home match of the season at Swindon last Thursday.

1. James Laker, 2. Sam Peters, 3. Darren Carr, 4. Jamie Evans.
