READING Racers are in action for the second time this week tonight (Thursday) when they take on fellow nomadic team Carmarthen Dragons at Swindon's Abbey Stadium.

The Dragons, who race out of Stoke Potters' home track, sit one place above the Racers in the Midland & Southern Development League after looking likely winners earlier in the season.

Fresh from Monday's 22-14 win over Milton Keynes, the Reading side are looking to start a run of results which will give them a respectable finish in the table, as this match is the second of four contests in 13 days.

Nick Laurence, William O'keefe and Rhys Laker again form the basis of the team while the identity of the fourth rider is uncertain after unforeseen circumstances threw doubt over whether their preferred choice can make it after all.

Carmarthen themselves are also uncertain of their line-up as the long season starts to take its toll on men and machines and means many clubs are finding it harder to fill team spots.

Probable teams:

Reading Racers – Nick Laurence, Rhys Laker, William O'keefe, TBC.

Carmarthen PDN Dragons – Danny Woodward, Tim Colley, Ben Philips and Laurence Fielding.
