THERE were three RDAA clubs out on the venues with Prestcold A.C. fishing the Beat 4B stretch of the River Kennet, writes Alan Hughes.

The river continued its good silver fish form of late and Geoff Eley took top spot with perch and roach to weigh in 6lbs 3ozss.

In second spot was Roy Green with 5lbs 10ozs of similar species and just four ounces behind Roy in third spot was Graham Hawkins again with the same species.

Reading C.S. held their match on a very windy Wallingford A section of the Thames at Benson.

Richard Munday took the top spot with 5lbs of skimmer and roach.

The runner-up place went to Phil Allen with 2lbs 14ozs of silvers and just two ounces behind was Gordon McGee with bleak and skimmers.

Nine people turned out for Bracknell Avocets' third match of the season hoping the bream and tench would show at Longwater Lake in Green Park.

Congratulations to Steve Kinsella who landed two bream around the 3lbs mark to record a weight of 8lbs 2ozs.

Robin Reynolds was the runner-up with 3lbs 11ozs of silvers. James Bryce was third with 3lbs 2ozs.

TRBLAS used the Goring stretch of the Thames for their match where 13 anglers were involved.

Liam Page-Smith took the honours with a superb weight of 25lbs 6ozs of roach and skimmers.

Alternating between a whip and waggler method, Page-Smith caught regularly throughout the match.

Second place was claimed by Tony Tibble with a mixed bag to total 11lbs 4ozs. Pete Godfrey claimed third place with in excess of 250 bleak to weigh in 10lbs 13ozs.
