TwWYFORD enjoyed a fine 63-32 win over neighbours Wargrave in their Kennet LV League Division Two Central East home match last Friday after winning on all three triples.

Twyford were yet again unable to field a full squad for their home Kennet League Division Three East game against Reading B and played only three rinks. Barry Carter's rink won 19-17 and Brian Stain's 21-5 to gain four points, but Phil Rose's rink were beaten 26-11.

This left the match score 58-51 to Reading. However, Twyford were penalised for not being able to field a fourth rink, so the score was adjusted to 78-51, leaving Reading with 10 points against the home side's four.

Persistent rain brought a premature end to Twyford's ladies triples match with Maiden Erlegh. Only 10 ends were played with visitors Maiden Erlegh leading 34-27 at the time.

A home mixed friendly with Maiden Erlegh ended in a 56-56 draw. After 10 ends, Twyford led by seven points, but then lost two rinks while drawing another.

KENNET LV League Division One Central West table-toppers Prospect Park crushed Trentham A 70-31 (10-0 on points), while the B team edged out Tilehurst C 51-49 (8-2) in a tight Division Two affair.

In Division One West of the Kennet League, basement side Prospect Park lost 78-71 (10-4) to Morland.
