Reading forward Marc McNulty is still the subject of strong interest from Scottish Premiership side Hibernian, according to the Edinburgh Evening News.
McNulty has fallen out of favour at the Madejski and a move back to Scotland could well be on the cards.
Last season, McNulty was on loan at Hibs and scored eight goals to help the Edinburgh-based side into the top six of the SPL.
McNulty still has three years of his contract left to run but Hibs boss Paul Heckingbottom didn't rule out the possibility of the club signing the former Coventry man.
He told the Edinburgh News: "“You can’t throw all your eggs into one basket. We are looking at other targets.
“There’s no point putting a date on it so there’s no cut-off point until we find a better replacement or are going to miss out by keeping someone waiting. But, if Sparky comes towards us, great.”
