HARPSDEN continue to set the pace at the top of the Berks, Mid Bucks & Chilterns League Championship Division following a nine-wicket cruise at Checkendon.

Amol Tyagi (60) and opener Manpreet Singh (46) were the only home batsmen to really get going as they were bowled out for 185, Ed Birkett (3-27) and skipper Christian Whittaker (3-50) the destroyers-in-chief for Harpsden.

The run chase proved a procession as Australian Blake Hogan -Keogh (99no from 82 balls) and Adam Birkett (50) put on 126 for the opening stand, and with Ben Hancock blasting an unbeaten 26 from only seven balls, the visitors wrapped up the win with more than 11 overs to spare.

Braywood made it three wins from three with a resounding eight-wicket success at home to Penn & Tylers Green.

Kamran Hafeez (4-21) and Mohammed Waheed (4-12) did the damage for the hosts as Penn were shot out for just 96 – the third week in a row they have been skittled for less than three figures.

Braywood made no mistake with the run chase as Kamran Ahmed's unbeaten 50 fired them to victory in just 10.5 overs.

Craig Peterson smashed a league record 169 from 120 balls as Ley Hill (304-8) overcame Ballinger Wagonners (200) by 104 runs.

Will Smith (63) top scored in the run chase, but Jack Thompson's 4-48 ensured Hill enjoyed a comfortable victory.

Ruislip Victoria (153) picked up their first win of the season with a narrow 14-run success against West Reading (139).

Adeel Razaq (3-41) and Zain Ahmed (3-27) bowled well for Wests, but Vijay Mulaparthi held the Ruislip innings together with an excellent 55.

West Reading lost two early wickets before Adam Davidson (44) and Sohail Arshad (47) put them in commanad, but the hosts dramatically fell from 121-3 to 139 all out as Mulaparthi (4-34) and Zafran Akhtar (3-32) turned the game around.

Skipper Ed Harris made 87 as Holmer Green (183-9) beat Peppard Stoke Row (128) by 55 runs.

Dion Sampson took 3-41 for PSR, while Kashif Iqbal (3-6) was the star turn for the home side in helping knock over the visitors.
