TWO wins each from Sagar Sawant, Hari Gehlot and Dmitry Karkhamov saw Kingfisher A move a step nearer the Division One title after beating two-man Tidmarsh B 10-0.

A hat-trick from Andy Wang helped Sonning Common & Peppard B win 7-3 at Kennet Valley Free Church A, while Tidmarsh A were 6-4 winners at Milestone A despite a Graham Mendick treble.

Sonning Common & Peppard A showed little mercy for their relegation-threatened C team clubmates, winning 9-1 with hat-tricks from Jason Roberts and Neil Hurford.

Springfield A took another giant leap towards promotion from Division Two after beating fourth-placed Kingfisher F 8-2.

Phil Burke was again the star with a three-straight treble with Adam Sheen and Peter Gurney both chipping in with two wins apiece, while second-placed Milestone B were held to a 5-5 draw by Pangbourne WMC.

Our Lady of Peace C returned to winning ways with a 6-4 victory over Tilehurst Methodists A, and Alan Mollet got a maximum as Sonning Common & Peppard D beat Kingfisher E 8-2, Mark Jones and reserve Derek Wavell each winning twice.

Curzon Club B gave themselves hope of avoiding the drop after beating Our Lady of Peace B 7-3, Nick Lean with a maximum and reserve Geoff Johnson winning twice.

Sonning Sports A pushed themselves right up the table after beating Our Lady of Peace A 9-1, and with matches in hand a late promotion push could yet happen.

Nick Sears and Bob Woodmansee both enjoyed five-game victories over Darek Kaminski, while Paul Savge won a crucial early encounter against Clive Perry 10-12 10-12 11-9 11-8 11-8.

Curzon Club C lost 6-4 to Reading FC A in Division Three, despite a hat-trick from Geoff Johnson.

Sonning Sports B gave themselves hope of avoiding the drop after a great 6-4 win at Sonning Common & Peppard E with a first treble of the season from Cris Reynolds.

Despite their captain not playing, Kingfisher G beat clubmates Kingfisher H 6–4 with David Wells winning all three.

Tidmarsh C maintained their promotion push by beating Tidmarsh D 7-3, with the in-form Simon Craig winning three, while Tilehurst Methodists B went top after their 7-3 win at Our Lady of Peace D, Nigel Rowland hitting a treble for the Methodists.

In Division 4, Kingfisher I forfeited three sets and consequently, despite a treble from Roger Prew, lost 6-4 to Tidmarsh E, with Steve Andrews, Mike Bundy and Pete Sinclair all defeating Gill Bennett.

Two-man Reading FC B lost 8-2 at Tilehurst Methodists C with Rob James undefeated on the night, while Steve Wood and David Bates both beat Harry Edwards but, in turn, lost to Joe Bull.

Mike Casserley scored a maximum for Sonning Common & Peppard F in their intra-club derby match against the G team but, with Anthony Reeve, David Pearson and Jim Warren each winning twice, the G team earned their bragging rights with a 7-3 victory.

Ralph Philips and Alona Slobodskoy both recorded maximums when Our Lady of Peace E beat Kennet Valley Free Church B 9-1, Toby Barter beating Andrew Adair to earn Kennet Valley’s only win.

In a similar fashion Milestone C beat Sonning Sports C 9-1, with Carl Edlind and Oliver Bonser both undefeated, while Tony Hayden missed out on a treble after he was beaten by John Scott.

This season's final of the team handicap will pair Our Lady of Peace DB against Reading FC A after both had overcome opposition from Springfield in their respective semi-finals.

Maximums from Jazz Dhillon and Wayne Alleyne were enough for Reading FC to see off Springfield C 7-2, and it was a third successive maximum for Mark Carless which helped OLOP to a 5-4 victory at Springfield B.
