READING FC appear to have signed Brazilian teenager Pedro Neves from Everton.

The highly-rated youngster posted a picture of himself in a Royals tracksuit on social media earlier today along with the words, ‘New home’.

Neither Reading nor Everton have confirmed the talented forward’s transfer at this stage.

Neves is listed as an Under 18 player with the Toffees and would join up with the Ged Roddy’s Reading Academy.

It is not known if the move is connected to Sone Aluko’s imminent departure to China.

Boss Jose Gomes suggested he will promote a player from the Under 23s to replace Aluko in the first-team squad.

That could have a knock-on effect on the younger age groups, which is where Neves could come in.

Neves – known as Pepe – was born Sao Paulo but moved to London with his family at the age of 12 when he was signed by Charlton Athletic

He then joined Everton in 2017 and signed a new full-time scholarship deal last summer.

Neves has represented both Brazil and Portugal at youth level and is clearly known to Portuguese boss Gomes.
