READING CC will begin their Thames Valley League Division 2b campaign with a trip to Bagshot on Saturday, May 11.

The Sonning Lane club – who have suffered three consecutive relegations – will then host Henley 2nds a week later, while they end the season on September 7 with a visit to Royal Ascot.

The opening five weeks and final four weeks will be played as 50-overs-per-side win-lose, with the middle weeks contested under the traditional ‘timed’ (52-48) rules.

The other clubs in the division are Finchampstead 2nds, Beaconsfield, Fleet, Aldershot, Thatcham Town and Hurst.

The latter start their campaign at Royal Ascot, are at home to Bagshot in week two, and end at Thatcham.

Reading 2nds will play in Division 4a, the 3rds in 6b and the 4ths in 9a, while Hurst 2nds are in Division 6b.

Wargrave’s maiden venture in Division One begins at North Maidenhead, with their first home game against Gerrards Cross a week later.

Neal Robinson’s side close the season at home to Falkland, with the other sides in the league Boyne Hill, Cove, Hayes, Slough 2nds, High Wycombe 2nds and Stoke Green.

Wargrave 2nds will play in Division 4a, the 3rds in 7a, and the newly-formed 4ths in 9a.

Kidmore End’s Division 2a season starts at home to Tring Park, with a visit to Chesham 2nds following. They end at home to Eversley, while their 2nds and 3rds continue in Divisions 7a and 9a respectively.

Promoted Sulhamstead begin the limited overs (45-over-per-side) part of the season at home to Slough 3rds in Division 3a.

They then travel to Boyne Hill 2nds, and conclude the season at home to Farnham Royal.

Purley on Thames will compete in the same division, starting at home to Wokingham 2nds., then visiting Farnham and finishing at Binfield.

The other opponents for both sides are Boyne Hill 2nds, Cove 2nds, Falkland 2nds and Finchampstead 3rds.

Meanwhile, Sulhamstead 2nds and Purley on Thames 2nds will compete in Division 6b, with both clubs running 3rd XIs in the Berkshire League.

Sonning, now in Division 4a, host Newbury on the opening day, and then visit Bracknell. They end at home to Wargrave 2nds, with the other clubs in the division Bagshot 2nds, North Maidenhead 2nds, White Waltham, Wokingham 3rds and Theale & Tilehurst, who host Wokingham on day one and end at home to Bagshot.

Sonning 2nds and 3rds will play in Divisions 6b – where Bradfield also reside – and 9a, while Theale’s are in 6b and 8a, along with Bradfield 2nds.
