Reading FC defender Tiago Ilori has signed for Sporting Lisbon.

The two clubs finally agreed a fee of around £2.2m over the weekend for the 25-year-old centre-back.

Ilori has now passed a medical and agreed personal terms on a reported four-and-a-half year deal.

It is something of a homecoming for Ilori who came through Sporting’s youth ranks before leaving for Liverpool in a £7m deal in 2013.

A lack of opportunities led to a £3.5m switch to Royals two years ago under Jaap Stam.

But after 64 appearances and one goal he becomes the latest player to leave under Jose Gomes.

In other transfer news today, Royals midfielder Liam Kelly is being linked with a move to Serie A outfit Udinese while Nottingham Forest have made a rumoured £500,000 bid for Tyler Blackett.

Turkish club Bursaspor are said to obe keen on Royals winger Mo Barrow, while ex-QPR playmaker Adel Taarabt has been linked with Royals.
