LAST weekend saw four clubs out on RDAA waters with three on the canals and one on the Thames, writes Alan Hughes.

Froxfield Canal was the most popular with three club matches booked.

On A1 section was Newtown A.C, where match secretary Terry Smith took the honours with 6lbs 2ozs of skimmers plus roach for top spot.

Second place was claimed by Roger Saunders with 2lbs 4ozs and in third place was Dave Brooks with 1l b 9ozs.

Courage were on the A2 section where Mick Donohoe took top spot with 6lbs 9ozs which consisted of two decent skimmers plus roach.

Second spot went to Ian Claridge with 4lbs 11ozs, while John Jackson claimed third with 4lbs 10ozs.

Prescold A.C were on the C section where Roy Green took first place with 4lbs 1oz of silvers.

Mick Sheasby claimed the runner-up spot with 3lbs 12ozs of similar species, and Graham Hawkins claimed third place with 3lbs 7ozs.

TRBLAS fished the match on the Wallingford A stretch of the Thames.

Colin Wainwrignt took top place with 12lbs 7ozs of chub which contained one of 5lbs 10ozs.

Second place went to Tony Tibble with an all-chub net of 11lbs 8ozs.

An all-chub net gave Dave Cowley third place with 9lbs 7ozs.
