EMMER Green made it six Senior Division wins from six with a 5-1 home drubbing of Purley, writes Richard Ashton.

Green took the lead on the half-hour mark when Jordan Lovelock collected a great ball down the line from Ciaran Crean and fired home.

Purley grabbed an equaliser 10 minutes later, making it 1-1 at half time.

A quarter-of-an-hour into the second half Ryan Adams saw his cross handled by a Purley player in the box and Dan Donegan slotted the spot-kick into the top left-hand corner to put Green in front.

Ten minutes later Green got a third when Adams’ corner hit the Purley keeper and went in off his chest, and Adams made it 4-1 when Lorenzo Medford collected Phil Brown’s goal-kick and laid it off to the striker to fire home.

Green were not finished and got their fifth after some great work from Liam Lukeman, who beat the full back and put in a pin-point cross for Luke Donegan to head back across goal where Lovelock converted.

Devontae Romeo netted for third-placed Tilehurst Club in their 1-1 draw with AFC Burghfield, while Eldon Celtic shocked leaders The Sportsman 1-0.

A Craig Hayleyy double and a Jamie Connor strike helped Richfield Rovers mope top of the Premier Division with a 3-2 victory at AFC Bradfield, Harry Rose with both goals for the hosts.

Michael Chard maintained his 100 per cent record for Tilehurst YM this season as the right-back inspired his side to a 2-1 come-from-behind win at Caversham AFC.
