READING Hockey Club commence their indoor league programme this coming weekend, with the women playing four matches at the University West of England's Frenchay campus and the men based at Nottingham Trent University's Clifton campus.

Both will be playing in Division One with the men relegated from the Premier Division after being deducted points for not knowingly playing an ineligible player in last season's competition.

The men get the first of their fixtures under way against Olton and West Warwicks on Saturday at 11.30am, followed by Harleston Magpies at 4.30pm. Then on Sunday, the Blues play Loughborough Students at 11am and Ipswich five hours later.

Their remaining four games will take place a week later.

Reading Women have named 15-year-old Abigail Miller in their squad for Saturday's games against Gloucester at 10.30am and Sutton at 3.30pm, while their opponents on Sunday will be University of Birmingham (11am) and Sevenoaks (3pm).

Abbie Dixon, who has not played for the club this season due to her university commitments, returns to the team, with her father, Richard, returning as team manager along with Liz Spencer.
