IN Division One, a hat-trick from Nigel Maltby helped Sonning Common & Peppard B beat a battling Kennet Valley A side 6-4.
Springfield A were comfortable 9-1 winners at Kingfisher F in Division Two, Phil Burke and Ludovic Couillard with trebles.
Daniel Wills, Kaan Kitay and Arun Rajagopal all won twice as second-placed Milestone/Sayain Brothers B managed a 6-4 away win at Pangbourne WMC, John Simmonds with a treble for the home team.
Our Lady of Peace B moved up to third after a crushing 10-0 victory over Curzon Club B, Alistair Richardson, Johnson Xu and Dave Godfrey all with maximums, while Thomas Lewis, Binit Bhasker and Pradeep Desh doubles helped Our Lady of Peace C win 6-4 at Tilehurst Methodists A.
Alan Mollett’s treble and two from Mark Jones helped Sonning Common & Peppard D win 6-4 at Kingfisher E.
In Division Three, Springfield B showed no mercy against their C team, beating them 10–0 with Rob Wilkie, Seth Martin and Steve Leggett the hat-trick men.
Despite a Geoff Johnson hat-trick, Curzon Club C lost 7–3 at Reading FC A, while Tilehurst Methodists B smashed Our Lady of Peace D 8–2 with Eric Van Looy and Nigel Rowland both hitting trebles.
Sonning Common & Peppard E won 7-3 at Sonning Sports B – Melvyn Lovegrove was the star by gaining a maximum while Derek Brooke-Wavell managed a double.
The Tidmarsh derby between the C and D teams ended all square as they battled out a 5-5 draw, while Kingfisher H crashed to an 8-2 defeat against their G team to complete a week of derby matches in this division, Gwynne Penny and Nils Wedi both hitting trebles.
Kingfisher I lost 9-1 to a strong Tidmarsh E side in Division Four, Roger Stevens and Steve Andrews both scoring trebles, while John Harland could only record a double.
The first inter-club meeting between Sonning Common & Peppard F and Sonning Common & Peppard G went the way of the F team 7-3, Gerry Bacon winning all three, ably supported by doubles from Julian James, who narrowly lost to Arran Reeve 12-10 10-12 9-11 11-8 9-11, and Mike Casserley, who was beaten by Simon Blake.
Our Lady of Peace E stay top of the division following their 7-3 home win over Kennet Valley Free Church B, with Chris Bunn recording a further treble and Alona Slobodskoy a double, while Steve Christelow won two sets for Kennet Valley.
This week saw a second inter-club match, this time Springfield E being victorious over Springfield D by winning 7-3.
Paul Martin recorded a maximum, Marcello Caramma a double and Colin Jones a single, while Maggie Kellermann-Thornton won one for the D team, with Chris Speight only able to record a double after losing his final set to Paul 6-11 11-3 12-10 6-11 10-12.
Sonning Sports C and Milestone C fought to a 5-5 draw thanks to John Scott’s two wins, singles from both Michael Byrne and Phil Peat, along with a doubles win earning Sonning Sports their points. For Milestone, John Evans recorded another maximum and Michal Pszczolka secured a double.
