CAVERSHAM AFC began their Reading & District Sunday League Division One opener 5-2 at home to Pangbourne Barbarians, writes Richard Ashton.

A Sam Wild double helped Twyford Comets past Woolhampton Cricket 2-1 in Division One.

Coley Park won 5-3 at Aydin FC, Woodley United were edged out 1-0 by Maiden Place and S.C. United conceded their game against Loxwood.

In Division Two, Thomas Clark scored a hat-trick and Matty Davies, Jake Collins and Matthew Guest were also on target as Southcote Colts Reserves annihilated Barton Rovers 7-0.

Ben King and Robert Nutley netted for Arborfield in their 3-2 defeat to Wokingham & Emmbrook while goals from Harvey Beales and Musa Saidybah gave Southbank a 2-1 win at Brimpton Rangers. Lawrence Payne scored for the hosts.

Toby Humpreys scored for Englefield Eagles Reds in their 2-1 loss to Park Villa, and Whitley Athletic downed Delta Vigo 2-0.

A stunning Jordan Sawyer hat-trick, added to by a brace from Luke Maze and goals from Shane Guidera, Sukhbir Hunjan and Anton Hawkins-Maze, helped South Reading batter AFC Pangbourne 8-0 in Division Three, while Karl Clark and Edward Whitesmith netted for Theale in their 2-2 draw with Six Bells.

Kings United won 4-3 at Rose & Thistle, Shinfield Park United smashed Tilehurst Club Reserves 5-1 and AFC Lowfield Green overcame Mortimer 4-0, Kieran Chard bagging a brace and Ben San Tan and Freddie Simon completing the rout.

FC Showcase conceded their game against 116 Exiles Reserves.

Chad Birmingham grabbed a consolation for Calcot FC in their 17-1 Division Four defeat to Sanctuary Strikers, while a Kieran Smith double earned Burghfield Reserves a 2-2 draw with Borussia Teeth.

Tom Parnell, Ashley Reynolds and Shane Langham got the goals for Calcot Royals in their 3-1 win at Tilehurst Titans.

In the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup, Wesley Dowe and Josh Miller were among the goalscorers as Woodley Wanderers eliminated Richfield Rovers 3-0.

Emmer Green thrashed Pobbers FC 7-0, Reading Irish smashed Southcote Colts 5-0 and Eldon Celtic cruised past Tilehurst Club 4-1.

AFC Burghfield were knocked out 4-3 on penalties at Cottage Inn following a 3-3 draw, Panthers won 3-1 at The Sportsman, Burghfield knocked out Maidenhead Crown 2-1 and Tilehurst YM were eliminated 3-1 by Wokingham & Emmbrook.
