THERE were only two club matches on Reading & District Angling Association venues last weekend, with one on the Thames and one on the Kennet & Avon Canal.

Bracknell Avocets used the Wallingford B stretch of the Thames at Benson and all of the anglers found the fish feeding despite the difficult windy conditions.

Terry Smith found the better roach in his swim and took the honours with 13lbs of the species.

John Smith filled the runner up spot with10lbs 10ozs of the same species, while Richard Herman was third with 3lbs 2ozs.

Pangbourne & Whitchurch fished their match at Midgham Canal.

Mark Holmes claimed the top spot with 8lbs 6ozs of roach, perch and skimmers.

Paul Leek was runner-up with 8lbs 1oz of similar species and Dave Dudman took third with 7lbs 1oz.

Twelve anglers fished the match and they managed to put 57lbs on to the scales.
