RAMS made it back-to-back National Two South bonus-point wins with a commanding 41-10 victory at London Irish Wild Geese.

They again came flying out of the blocks and were 10-0 up inside 10 minutes after Ben Henderson dotted down at the back of a rolling maul, before Jak Rossiter then caught the resulting restart and ran the length of the field to double the advantage.

The hosts hit back with a 23rd-minute Scott Moore try, only for Ross Crame to go over for Rams, Alex Seers converting to make it 17-7.

The bonus-point was then wrapped up before the break as Jamar Richardson popped the ball to No. 8 Robbie Stapley to finish off a move he had originally started with a trademark marauding run.

A Reuben Knight penalty early in the second half cut the deficit to 14 points, but that was as good as it got for the home side.

Rams effectively put the game to be in the 55th minute when Henderson grabbed his second score, although Irish did have a try disallowed and enjoyed a sustained period of pressure in the visitors’ 22.

However, that amounted to nothing as wing Andrew Denham intercepted the ball to go in for a length-of-the-field score, before another Stapley surge resulted in Joe Duffelen finishing off for his side's seventh try.

Despite racking up 40 points for the second week in a row to sit joint top with Henley Hawks, head coach Seb Reynolds is not getting carried away.

He said: “The only expectation I have is for this team to be the best team they can be and I want to help them realise their potential whatever that may be.

“In patches we played some quality rugby, but it wasn’t quite the complete performance I would’ve liked. However, I was pleased with Andrew getting his first try in league rugby, as he’s been brilliant so far.”

Rams host Henley Hawks on Saturday (2.30pm).
