THERE were four RDAA affiliated clubs out on the venues last weekend, writes Alan Hughes.

Prestcold A.C. fished their match on the Beat 4B section of the River Kennet at Rose Kiln Lane, where Mark Steadman took the honours with a barbel of 11lbs 3ozs and roach to total 12lbs 10ozs.

Taking the runner-up spot was Graham Walker with 12lbs 6ozs of mainly roach and completing the trio was Roy Green with 8lbs 12ozs, again nearly all roach.

T.R.B.L.A.S.were on the Beat 3B backwater section.

Tony Tibble claimed top spot weighing in 8lbs 3ozs which consisted of one chub 3lbs 2ozs and silvers.

Simon Couling claimed the runner-up spot with 6lbs 10ozs of roach and dace and third spot went to Ian Claridge with 5lbs 4ozs of silvers.

Tring Anglers fished their match at Wallingford B venue on the Thames, where 10 anglers fished, averaging 5 lbs per angler.

Claiming the top place was Andy Allday who weighed in 10lbs11ozs of roach and skimmers.

Second place went to Martin Rodwell with similar species which totalled 1olbs 2ozs and in third spot was Dave Moore with 8lbs caught fishing the waggler.

Completing the RDAA venues was Newtown A.C. who fished on Longwater Lake at Green Park.

Three of the anglers made it a very tight finish with Robin Reynolds taking the honours with 6lbs 12ozs which comprised silvers along with a bream of 3lbs 5ozs.

John Clements claimed second spot with 6lbs 9ozs of silvers and match secretary Terry Smith was third with 6lbs 7ozs also of silvers.

Away from RDAA venues, Reading Fishing Club used their Beale Park fishery and Andy Woolsey took top spot with 16lbs 12ozs of roach and skimmers. Second place was claimed by Adam Durnford with 16lbs 10ozs and in third place was Malcolm Vigar with 16lbs.
